  • Risk assessment of the perpetrators of domestic violence
  • Risk assessment of violent offenders in general
  • Risk assessment of stalking behaviours (Stalkers)

  • Parenting assessments (in cases where parents have their own histories of childhood trauma and abuse)
  • Comprehensive assessments of Personality (using the NEO PI-R tool)
  • ‘Suitability for Treatment’ assessments (for sexual or violent offenders)
  • Psychometric testing/evaluation of sexual and violent offenders
  • Risk assessment of adolescents, aged 12-18, who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour (using ERASOR 2001).

Lyndon strives to practise in a respectful and fair manner and diversity principles are incorporated into the way he works. He acknowledges, for example, that false and malicious allegations are occasionally made against innocent individuals. Therefore, he commences all work with an open mind and any conclusions reached will be evidence-based. He keeps abreast of pertinent empirical research. Lyndon also accepts that, in some cases, it may not be in the best interests of children to prevent them from living with, or having contact with, their known or suspected abuser(s). Therefore, risk will be assessed robustly but fairly, with Lyndon paying heed to the specific context of each individual case. Lyndon’s reports will show a balance between an offender’s risk (deficits) and protective (strengths) factors. He will not hesitate in acting to protect children, or adults, who are at risk of suffering significant harm. Nonetheless, he will work in collaboration with families, professionals and agencies in cases where the risk is deemed to be low and manageable – aiming to keep families together, if that is in the best interests of any children concerned.

Lyndon is registered with Social Work England (SW27357) and was last vetted by the DBS the in February 2016 (Cert No 001520427634 – this is updated annually). Lyndon has full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance. He is registered with the British Psychological Society as qualified to use psychometric tests in his practice (RQTU No 330640). Lyndon has been a member of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses since 2005.  He has been a member of NOTA for many years.
